ABOUT ETHAN BURNS

...he’s clearly an old soul with stories to tell. It’ll be a pleasure to hear them all.
— Anne Litt, KCRW

Ethan Burns is an American singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from Grover Beach, California. With a vocal sound that is reminiscent of Leon Bridges, Ray LaMontagne, and Nathaniel Rateliff, he blurs the lines between Soul, Garage, Blues, and Surf.

From learning guitar on his own to releasing his first critically-acclaimed album at 17, Ethan has done it his way, and he focuses on crafting thoughtful music that tells stories about growth and the human experience.

PAST REVIEWS

Ethan Burns has one of those voices that you hear and immediately believe. [He] grew up in a working-class family in central California, with a gift for immediately being able to play the songs he heard. His vocal style is rough and his songs are relatable.
— NPR’S WORLD CAFE NEXT
...Burns’ voice is captivating, mesmerizing and oh so rich; melts me into a puddle on the floor. I hear hints of inspiration from the likes of Leon Bridges, Dan Auerbach and Van Morrison. With retro soul-inspired sound, Burns’ passion is undeniable... and I can hardly wait to see what he delivers next.
